Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 15, 2026
Summary
Lazy Panda is a mindful habit tracker with journaling, insights, optional mood and energy logging, The Path progression system, and weekly summaries. Your data is stored entirely on your device. No account is required to use the app, and we do not operate a cloud database of your habits, journal entries, or personal information.
This policy describes what information the app processes, when it leaves your device, and your choices. Questions: support@weblabsconsulting.org.
Who this applies to
This policy covers the Lazy Panda mobile application (iOS and Android) published by WebLabs Consulting Inc., and our marketing website. The same privacy principles apply across both platforms.
Local-first: information stored on your device
Lazy Panda is designed to be local-first and privacy-first. All information you enter or generate stays on your phone or tablet using durable on-device storage (SQLite-backed key–value storage). We cannot browse, access, or search your device data. Examples include:
- Profile and preferences: display name, appearance (light/dark/system), notification choices, and similar settings.
- Habits: names, icons, schedules, completion dates, XP, mastery levels, streaks, and related progress.
- The Path: mastery rank, XP ledger, weekly reset records, power habit history, Panda Paws balance and usage, active stacks and ritual session logs, active quests and quest progress.
- Journal entries and notes tied to habits or days.
- Optional mood and energy logs and before/after completion inputs you save.
- Insights views derived from the above — computed locally from your stored data.
- Weekly reports: generated snapshots stored after they are created.
- Backups you export: a JSON backup file is created only when you use the export feature; you choose where to keep it.
No account required
Lazy Panda requires no registration, no email address, and no user account. You can use every feature of the app without providing any personal identifying information to us. Your on-device identity (display name, avatar) stays on your device.
Offline operation
The app functions fully without an internet connection. Habit tracking, The Path, journaling, insights, and all core features work offline. The only operation that requires a network connection is restoring a prior in-app purchase (subscription or lifetime access), which must contact Apple or Google to verify entitlement.
Data export and backup
You can export a complete, portable JSON backup of all your data at any time via Settings → Data & backup. This file includes your habits, completions, Path data, journal entries, mood logs, weekly reports, and preferences. You can import this backup on any device to restore your full history. We do not have access to your backup files.
Information sent to third parties
Lazy Panda is designed so that ordinary use does not require sending your data to any server. The only third-party interaction is for in-app purchases.
- Subscriptions and lifetime access (RevenueCat): When you purchase or restore Lazy Panda Pro or a lifetime subscription, Apple or Google processes payment. RevenueCat validates entitlements with those stores. RevenueCat may receive purchase identifiers, product IDs, app user identifiers they assign, and related transaction metadata — not your habit, journal, or Path data.
- Push notifications: Your device's operating system delivers reminders you enable. We do not need your habit list on a server to show a local notification.
- We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising profiles.
Website
If you visit our marketing site, normal web logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed) may be processed by our hosting or analytics providers according to their policies. The site does not access data inside the Lazy Panda app on your phone.
How we use information
On-device data is used solely to render the app, compute insights you ask for, generate weekly reports, track Path progression, and remember your settings. None of this data is sent to our servers.
Purchase data is used only to unlock Pro features or lifetime access you bought.
Retention and deletion
Data on your device remains until you delete it in the app, erase app storage, or uninstall Lazy Panda. Exported backups remain until you delete the files yourself.
Because we do not store your data on our servers, there is no cloud data to request deletion of. To exercise rights related to purchase history, contact Apple or Google as appropriate.
Security
We rely on platform security (iOS and Android) and careful app design. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Protect your device with a passcode and be cautious when storing backup files in shared cloud folders.
Your choices and rights
Because core data is on your device, you can export (Settings → Data & backup), delete items in-app, or uninstall the app to remove local data. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by third parties such as Apple or Google (for purchase history).
For privacy questions or requests regarding WebLabs Consulting Inc.'s handling of information, email support@weblabsconsulting.org.
Children
Lazy Panda is intended for users age 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information in a way that requires action, contact us at the email above.
International users
If you use Lazy Panda from outside your home country, purchase-related information may be processed in the United States or other regions where Apple, Google, or RevenueCat operate. Your on-device data does not leave your country.
Changes
We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. We will post the new date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app or site after changes means you accept the updated policy unless applicable law requires other consent.
